Fried Zucchini Blossoms

  • As Needed Mel-Fry® Frying Oil
  • 6 Fresh zucchini blossoms
  • Honey, to taste
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • Salt, to taste


  • Fill fryer to appropriate level and set temperature to 325ºF.
  • Separate zucchini blossoms, placing into the fryer one at a time. Be careful to keep blossoms apart from each other; they’ll cook more evenly if they are separated. Fry until the blossoms turn a deep golden brown. You may have to flip them to achieve a uniform color.
  • Using tongs or a spatula, carefully remove the fragile fried flowers from the oil and place on the paper towels to drain. Season lightly with salt.
  • When they have cooled enough to touch, transfer the blossoms to the baking sheet. Drizzle just a taste of honey and cinnamon on top, and serve.
